چکیده

It has been now well documented that quantum coherence and interference effects can modify the absorption and dispersion properties of an atomic system [1,2]. In the most common situation, that of a Λ-type threelevel system, the medium becomes transparent to a probe laser field near an otherwise absorbing resonant transition. This is achieved via the application of a second laser field coupling to the linked transition. In addition to steady state studies, considerable work has been done on the transient properties of coherent phenomena such as, for example, electromagnetically induced transparency [3,4], gain (or lasing) without inversion [5–7] and coherent population trapping [8,9].

A Least Squares Approach to Estimating the Average Reservoir Pressure

Least squares method (LSM) is an accurate and rapid method for solving some analytical and numerical problems. This method can be used to estimate the average reservoir pressure in well test analysis. In fact, it may be employed to estimate parameters such as permeability (k) and pore volume (Vp). Regarding this point, buildup, drawdown, late transient test data, modified Muskat method, interfe...

Controlling of Absorption and Dispersion Spectrum via Electromagnetically Induced Transparency

In this paper we examine the absorption and dispersion properties of a weak probe field via Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) in a four-level system. It is shown that under certain condition, using this model, the absorption cancellation is appeared and the medium becomes transparent to the weak probe field. It will be shown that the controlling of absorption and dispersion spectru...

Application of Decline Curve Analysis for Estimating Different Properties of Closed Fractured Reservoirs for Vertical Wells

In this paper, decline curve analysis is used for estimating different parameters of bounded naturally fractured reservoirs. This analysis technique is based on rate transient technique, and it is shown that if production rate is plotted against time on a semi-log graph, straight lines are obtained that can be used to determine important parameters of the closed fractured reservoirs. The equati...

The Relationships between Chlorophyll-a Dynamics, Certain Physical and Chemical Variables in the Temperate Eutrophic Çaygören Reservoir, Turkey

The Çaygören Reservoir was sampled monthly from February 2007 to January 2009 at three stations to determine the relationships between the chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) dynamics and soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP), nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N), ammonium-nitrogen (NH4-N), water discharge, water transparency, water temperature (T), specific conductance (SC) and pH. Thermal stratification occurred in the re...
